Happy October! It's time for our first ever WALKTOBER challenge, where we compete and encourage each other to keep moving during the month of October!
If you'd like to participate, please fill out the link attached here. We'll take submissions through Sunday 9/29 and then teams will be SET and ready to rock + roll by October 1!
You will need to download the app "Stridekick" and link your Apple watch, Garmin or FitBit. Once you are in the app, please send me a friend request (my stridekick username / nickname is @heyitsbri
You will get to choose your own step goal based on your lifestyle. Choose a goal that is realistic, but will push you to keep moving!
Our goals will be based on total steps DURING THE MONTH OF OCTOBER. You will be working toward the TOTAL number of steps in the month. There are 31 days in October. If your goal is 10,000 steps/day, then the October goal is 310,000 steps. It's not about whether or not you hit your step goal each day, it's about whether or not you hit your goal by the end of the month. So, if you miss it one day, it's all good!--you'll just have to make up for it another day. If you are really feelin it one day and go waaaaay over your steps, your 'reserved' steps will be saved and can be put toward another day. We're all about balance around here!
I'll be keeping track and posting updates along the way so we can track which teams are in the lead!
