My name is Kelly and I am a mommy to 2 beautiful kids, Grace and Liam and I’m married to Franklin, who is Cameroonian. I love how we try to blend our two very different backgrounds together, to hopefully (fingers crossed) raise children that are one day global citizens.

Where were you born?

Born in Chicago, but moved to Las Vegas when I was 8. I would call myself a Vegas girl.

Grace is 4 years old and Liam is just over 18 months. Grace is the best big sister to her brother and Liam is in a strong climbing stage.

How long have you been Stroller Striding/FIT4MOMming and how did you find us?

Just over a year, but I first found Bri and Cassie before Stroller Strides began. ;)

Baking! I can bake yummy treats and make some pretty cakes.

Share a favorite mom moment

My favorite mom moments are when my kids break into dance parties in the bathroom! I love to see the joy on their faces.

Share a most challenging mom moment.

So many to choose from, but getting my little Liam to sleep through the night. It took us almost a year to hit this milestone and I am so happy to have that behind us now.

What did you do before kid/s?

Elementary School Teacher, Interventionist, worked on the board of a nonprofit in Las Vegas

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I see myself gaining a bit more of myself back again as my kids age and gain a little more independence. I would love to start a nonprofit for students with learning disabilities and volunteer more in the community.

What keeps you coming back to FIT4MOM?

The community!

I love traveling and learning about cultures around the world, swimming, going to different beaches, watching and playing soccer and baking.

Anything else you'd like to share about yourself?

I am headed back to work next week! I will be teaching at Tough Elementary School as a first grade teacher. I promise I will try my best to make the weekend classes or mom’s night out :)
