March 2023 Mom of the Month: Elizabeth Jaco

Introduce yourself!

Hi! I’m Elizabeth! I’ve been married to my husband, Matt, for 6 years and we have two crazy little boys (and one more kiddo joining us in May!)

Where were you born?

I was born in Boise, Idaho - honestly America’s best kept secret. It is gorgeous! I learned how to ski by the age of 3 and have such great memories of adventures there.

Where do you call home?

I’ve lived in a few different places, but generally consider Houston/The Woodlands area home. My parents live in the College Station area now, which is my college home, so I consider that a second home!

Introduce your kiddo/s:

Charlie (4) is such a sweet big brother and leader in our family. He is super strong willed and determined and wants to be “a boss” when he grows up. He’s such a happy kiddo with a great sense of humor.

Archie (1) wants to do absolutely everything that his big brother does and loves all things sports. He is a quiet observer and loves to do his own thing. He really just loves life!

Caroline/Hank (will find out soon!) will be joining the chaos in May. The boys are really excited to have a new baby brother. A sister might take some getting used to!

How long have you been Stroller Striding/FIT4MOMming and how did you find us?

I heard about Fit4Mom through church friends and have been a part of the crew since spring 2022.

Share a hidden talent!

I was on the dance team at Texas A&M and could probably whip out a routine if I had to! I also have done pretty well running half marathons and have a 1:47 PR. I guess that counts as a hidden talent!

Share a favorite mom moment:

One of my favorite moments was taking the boys the Astros World Series parade last year. Seeing the joy and excitement on their faces was priceless. I love how much they love baseball already.

Share a most challenging mom moment:

Nap time has always been the biggest challenge for me!!

What did you do before kid/s?

I was a math teacher. I’m a huge math nerd.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Hard to imagine, but in 5 years I see myself getting my last kiddo off to elementary school and finally having some time to breathe! I would love to start marathon training with more time.

What keeps you coming back to FIT4MOM?

I love the workouts! I also think it’s so important for the kiddos to see us prioritizing our health and fitness.

Share 3 things you love to do other than FIT4MOMming :)

I love to bake! Healthy and not so healthy. I pride myself on making desserts with almond flour and coconut sugar that even my kids will eat!

I love Pure Barre. It’s my weekly “alone time” that keeps me sane.

My husband and I both love comedy and like to go watch stand up shows (or on Netflix!) when we get a chance.

What else would you like to share with the community?

I’m so grateful for Fit4Mom! It has allowed me to meet so many other moms who have the same priorities and lifestyle as me.
